Position Summary

As an integral member of the team, the Building Cleaner performs a wide variety of custodial duties to maintain the overall cleanliness of the interior of the property. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning of common areas, amenities and parkade vestibules as assigned by the Property Manager. Hours may be irregular to accommodate operating hours and will include weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the interior of the designated property.
• Implement and follow a cleaning schedule program.

• Ensure WHMIS regulations are implemented and followed.
• Advise the Property Manager on building inefficiencies (utilities, supplies, job duties etc.)
• Ensure local, provincial, & federal laws and regulations are being observed at the community.
• Execute all work in a safe, professional manner in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
• Ensure comprehension and compliance with all Westcorp Playbook policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.

Required Skills & Abilities

• High school graduate
• Must have at least 2 years of housekeeping experience
• Must be fluent with the English language and have strong verbal and written skills
• Knowledge of WHMIS is required
• Possess physical stamina and be able to manage time well
• Must be personable and have a positive, energetic attitude
• Must be flexible and willing to change roles or responsibilities as required
• Security clearance required upon offer of employment
• Possess sensational customer service philosophy
• Highly organized, results oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
