Position Summary

As an integral member of the team, the Community Housekeeper performs a wide variety of custodial duties to maintain the overall cleanliness of the interior of the property. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning of common areas, amenities and parkade vestibules as assigned by the Property Manager. Hours may be irregular to accommodate operating hours and will include weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the property is kept clean, neat and well maintained at all times in adherence to the property cleaning schedule. This includes vacuuming hallways, dusting, cleaning stairwells, cleaning light fixtures, removing litter, cleaning baseboards, mopping, cleaning and washing garbage room, etc.
  • Perform daily and weekly tasks regarding cleaning and dusting of the site offices.
  • Manage all garbage, garbage cans and garbage areas which includes monitoring and relocating the bins for waste pick up and daily pick up of all litter on the site.
  • Report maintenance or building deficiencies to the Condominium Manager in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular checks of the property for vandalism & graffiti, providing removal as needed.
  • Complete custodial projects including the maintenance of parkade entrances and corridors to ensure they are kept clean and free of obstacles, dangers and/or debris.
  • Perform snow removal tasks as required.
  • Monitor cleaning supply inventories and report supply deficiencies to Property Manager.
  • Prioritize and schedule all work in accordance with daily scheduled requirements.
  • Execute all work in a safe, professional manner in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Ensure comprehension and compliance with all Westcorp Playbook policies.
  • Perform other duties (may include other exterior site custodial tasks) as required by the Property Manager.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Relevant professional cleaning experience required
  • Knowledge of WHMIS required
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Communication ability in English language, both written and verbal is a must
  • Must be flexible and willing to change roles and responsibilities as required
  • Physically able to handle moderate lifting, vacuuming, etc.
  • High degree of professionalism and dedication to all stakeholders
  • Possess sensational customer philosophy
  • Highly organized, results oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
  • Security clearance required upon offer of employment
