    As an integral member of the team, the Leasing  Consultant acts as a front line professional, welcoming all residents, guests and rental inquiry applicants. In addition, this role provides leasing administration support to the leasing team to ensure industry leading levels of customer service are provided to all stakeholders at the community. This position may require some irregular hours to accommodate operating hours and will include weekends and holidays. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Greet customers on the phone or in person with the view that the end result will be a new resident.
    • Scheduling viewing appointments.
    • Assist with answering general customer questions through solid product knowledge when the Leasing Consultant is not immediately available.
    • Ensure that the Leasing Centres maintain Westcorp standards.
    • Aim to enhance overall customer satisfaction and experience.
    • Maintain a database of contact information in YARDI.
    • Completing traffic reports, vacancy reports and related paperwork as required by the Leasing Manager.
    • Administrative functions to ensure prospective resident applications, lease documents and resident files are completed correctly and in full.
    • Participate in on-going sales training to improve sales techniques.
    • Assist in follow-up programs (i.e. thank you cards, calls, etc.).
    • Assist with move-in/move-out inspections with residents
    • Ensure comprehension and compliance with all Westcorp Playbook policies.
    • Execute all work in a safe, professional manner in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
    • Ensure local, provincial & federal laws and regulations are being observed at the community.
    • Complete other duties as required and assigned by the Leasing Manager.


    Required Skills & Abilities

    • High school graduate; Post-Secondary education an asset
    • 1 - 3 years relevant reception experience in a busy office environment
    • Appearance must be neat, clean and professional
    • Knowledge and use of general office equipment including telephone/switchboard experience
    • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
    • High degree of professionalism and dedication to self, co-workers and clients
    • Strong inter-personal and analytical skills
    • Exceptional communication ability; written and verbal
    • Candidate must be flexible and willing to adapt to changing priorities, as required
    • Possess sensational customer service philosophy
    • Security clearance required upon offer of employment
    • Highly organized, results oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
