  • Position Summary

    As an integral member of the team, the Leasing Consultant assists in developing and implementing diversified and innovative leasing strategies for the Griesbach Community. This role aims to maximize value by providing industry leading customer service to current and potential customers. The Leasing Consultant will strive to realize efficiencies and ensure first class facilities are provided to all customers. Schedules will be irregular to accommodate business needs and operating hours. Hours of work will include evenings, weekends and holidays.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Greet and qualify customers on the phone or in person with the view that the end result will be a new resident.
    • Lease suites with specific leasing goals in mind.
    • Ensure that prospective resident applications are completed correctly and in full.
    • Oversee the signing of leases.
    • Complete move-in/move-out inspections with residents.
    • Maintain a database of contact information in YARDI.
    • Enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Complete traffic reports, vacancy reports and related paperwork as required by the Leasing Lead.
    • Utilize follow-up programs (i.e. thank you cards, calls, etc.).
    • Participate in on-going sales training to improve sales techniques.
    • Report deficiencies in market ready suites and in the building to the Leasing Lead.
    • Visit competitive properties to stay informed on market conditions and complete monthly competitor comparisons.
    • Ensure local, provincial & federal laws and regulations are being observed and complete monthly competitor comparisons.
    • Execute all work in a safe, professional manner in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
    • Ensure comprehension and compliance with all Westcorp Playbook policies.
    • Complete other duties as required and assigned by the Leasing Lead. 

    Required Skills & Abilities

    • High school graduate; Post-secondary education is an asset.
    • Extremely strong aptitude for sales and customer service.
    • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
    • Knowledge of YARDO and/or SharePoint an asset.
    • Strong inter-personal and organizational skills.


    • Exceptional communication ability, both written and verbal.
    • High degree of professionalism and dedication toward all stakeholders
    • Candidate must have excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
    • Must be flexible and adaptable to meet responsibilities as required.
    • Appearance must be neat, clean and professional.
    • Security clearance required upon offer of employment
