  • Position Summary

    As an integral member of the Falcon Ridge Gardens team, this role will ensure industry leading levels of customer service through maintenance and facilities management are provided for all residents and on the property by performing a wide variety of exterior and interior grounds and building maintenance projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure the property is well maintained and managed in accordance with guidelines at all times.
    • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance and regular building checks as required.
    • Oversee and manage basic building systems.
    • Change locks and cut keys as directed by the Property Manager.
    • Perform maintenance as required for suite turnover.
    • Track inventory of parts, supplies and small tools.
    • Participate in on-call service.
    • Perform basic maintenance and custodial tasks which include, but are not limited to:
      • Maintain common grounds, ensuring they are kept clean and free of obstacles or dangers and debris.
      • Monitor and remove garbage from garbage barrels and manage waste/recycling program throughout the property.
      • Perform internal and external grounds maintenance (in and around property).
      • Perform regular checks at the property for damage, vandalism and graffiti - repairing and removing as needed.
      • Perform general grounds keeping which includes, but is not limited to the following: snow removal, landscaping upkeep, sweeping/blowing of driveways and walkways to remove leaves, weeds, ice, snow etc.
      • Perform and maintain annual flower plantings around properties.
      • Utilize and maintain property owned equipment, etc.
    • Foster good resident relations by completing projects in a timely manner.
    • Execute all work in a safe, professional manner in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
    • Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Property Manager.

    Required Skills & Abilities

    • A minimum of three years’ relevant experience is required.
    • Must be physically fit with the ability to lift, carry or move heavy items.
    • Must possess a safety oriented and safety conscience attitude.
    • Must have own tools, a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
    • Must have general maintenance knowledge with a strong ability and desire to learn new maintenance skills - preference will be given to candidates with strong maintenance knowledge in the areas of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance repairs.
    • Must be flexible and willing to change roles or responsibilities as required and have the ability to work extra hours as they may vary for high season, month end turnover and on-call duties.
    • Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to work efficiently and independently.Possess sensational customer service philosophy.
    • Security clearance required upon offer of employment.
    • Highly organized, results oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment.
